Convergence Meeting

Please come to a meeting on Tuesday, 15 February at 7pm at Camperdown Memorial Rest Park (opposite the Court House Hotel alongside Lennox St. This is the park behind the Dendy Cinema, King St in Newtown). If it rains well we meet out the back of the Court House Hotel which has coverage.) We will discuss meeting on Wednesday morning (16 Feb) and strategies for entering the venue as a group.

We have formed working groups to make organising the gathering easier.

The Working groups are:
Accessibility & Grievances : making sure people are comfortable & dealing with any conflict : access@queeruption.org
Accommodation : organising places for people to sleep : accommodation@queeruption.org
Actions : coming up with ideas for actions & what will be needed : actions@queeruption.org
Art : getting together art-supplies & making an art-space : art@queeruption.org
Bar : organising booze and soft drinks
Building : the big job - finding & organising a venue for the gathering

Coordinating : making sure everything happens - easy right?
Dogsbody : for people who don't want responsibility but are happy to help
Dress-up : organising a dress-up & make-up space at the gathering

So far we we have people in Brisbane and Melbourne helping coordinate stuff for Queeruption 7 in Sydney.

Do It Yourself!

You might not be able to ever make it to a meeting but there are always things you can do to help make this gathering truly amazing. Here are some ideas:

- start collecting anything you think might be useful e.g. bedding, paint, clothes, toys
- help spread the word
- offer a workshop at the gathering
- perform DJ or volunteer at one of our events
and we are sure you can think of much much more.....
