Get Involved

Fundraise
Queeruption Vancouver needs your help to raise funds! Feeding people costs money. So does toilet paper. More than you would think. Consider throwing a benefit in your home city for Q10. Every little bit helps for such a large event!

Land
If you live in the BC Lower Mainland, Queeruption needs land for the event! If you know where land is available outside of Vancouver that could hold this event, email us!

Workshops
We're looking for people interested in facilitating workshops, discussions, skill sharing, etc. If you have ideas, email us! We in Vancouver have come up with some things we're interested in, but this list is not exhaustive:

-Indigenous activism, anti colonialism, anti racism, politics of race
-Ecology, environmental activism, sustainability, green anarchism
-Practical skill building (are you a bike mechanic? A plumber? etc?)
-Health, mental health, queer body image, safer sex
-Queer politics, queer activism, strategies for organizing
-art, performances, music
-sex, sex toys
-gender, gender fucking

Email us with any and all other ideas. Be creative. Go out on a limb.

You can see the list of prospective workshops here

Music and Performances
Yes, this was mentioned in the last paragraph. But to emphasize, if you are an artist, film maker, musician, drag king/queen, or performer of any sort and want to do something at Q10, email us.

Translate

Do you know American Sign Language, British Sign Language, or any other form of sign language? We would like to provide sign language interpretation during queeruption. If you are planning on attending Q10 and would like to help with interpretation, that would be amazing!! Please email us at q10vancouver@queeruption.org so we can start putting together a list of potential sign language interpreters.

We really need people to help translate our website and press releases into different languages. The more the better! In particular, we're looking for people who can translate into Mandarin, Cantonese and Japanese. Any language will be helpful though!

Translate the Q10 Zine

Languages
We are attempting to make information available in as many languages as possible. That being said, due to limitations of translating skills, time and resources the zine will be available in fewer languages than the website, workshop programmes and other materials. At present we are planning on having English and French versions of the zine, and possibly others. If you would like to submit something written in a language other than those two, please contact us. All materials written in either French or English will be translated for the other language zine.
