Craps - Learn About the Game Craps

Craps is an extremely popular Vegas-style dice game which can sometimes be daunting for some players because of the complex-looking betting table. This is something that you have to learn about otherwise you will just be throwing your money away if you don’t know what you are betting on.

The main aim of the game is to bet on the outcome of the dice that a shooter throws onto the table. Different areas of the table have different odds and once you have learned the numerous different bet types, it won’t take you long to realise that the ones with the highest odds are really not worth betting on too often.

The point number is established after the first roll of the dice total either 4, 5, 6, 8, 8 or 10, which is known as the Come Out Roll. If the total of this roll equals 2, 3, 7, 11 or 12, it immediately ends the round. Players have the option on betting on just one outcome or over a series of different outcomes.

A good start for new players would be to place a bet on the pass line and then if a 7 or 11 comes out, you will win and the round will be complete, but if a 2, 3 or 12 is rolled, you will lose. The Don’t Pass Line Bets are basically the reverse of a pass line bet.

Other bets include Come Bets, Don’t Come Bets, Odds Bets, Field Bets, Big 6 and Big 8 Bets, Place Win Bets, Place Lose Bets, Buy Bets, Lay Bets, Any 7 Bets, Any 11 Bets, Any Craps Bets, C and E Bets, Horn Bets and Hard Way Bets.

Always read the games rules and start out in the demo mode if you have never played this game before, to avoid losing money and to help you learn the game quicker.
