Blackjack - Learn About the Game Blackjack
Blackjack is a card game that you play against the dealer and not against other players. The object of the game is to basically try and reach as close to 21 as possible. The closer to 21, the better, and you will win if you cards are closer to 21 than the dealer’s cards.
You start by being dealt two cards (known as the hole cards) and all you have to do is add them up. You can do this in the following way: An ace is worth either 1 point or 11 points. Each picture card including the J, Q, and K are all worth 10 points and the rest of the cards are all worth their face value. So, a 2 is worth 2 points, a 3 is worth 3 points and so on.
If you are initially dealt for example a Q and an A, you have instantly got 21 points (blackjack) and the only way you could not win this hand is if the dealer happens to have a similar hand that totals 21. If this happens, which is quite common, the result is known as a push, therefore the game is tied and you will get your stake returned to you.
After you have been dealt your first two cards, you might have for example a 2 and a 9, so your next move would be to take another card. You must select hit to be dealt another card. Depending on what your next card is will determine your next move. Remember that the dealer usually has to stand on 16 or 17 and it would be silly to take another card if you have 16 or more.
Blackjack is an exciting card game which is available in both the free play mode and in the real cash mode and can usually be found at most gambling portals.
