queeruption is a radical queer gathering that
will be happening on the weekend of october 7-11,
1999 in new york city. the gathering is open
to all queers, sissies, faggot freaks,
trannies, queers of color, and rebel dykes of
all shapes, sizes & abilities from all walks
of life who share a larger vision of identity
and liberation beyond limiting roles and
demands as defined by the mainstream movement.
we seek to build a holistic revolutionary movement
dedicated to fighting the likes of traditional
gender roles, racism, patriarchy, and capitalism -
just to name a few.

the purpose of queeruption is to come together
as queers of all genders and sexualities to explore,
celebrate, enjoy, learn, communicate, network and
create. a free weekend of workshops, story sharing,
skills sharing, as well as films, music, social
events and vegan food. queeruption is about us all
taking initiative: creating & participating, instead
of just consuming a lifestyle sold to us.
