Net Entertainment is one of our favourite online casino software providers and we always like to keep a close eye on them and see what they have been up to. It seems as though March was another big month for this award-winning software provider and in this article we will be discussing some of the main highlights.
The company announced on Friday 20th March 2015 that it had signed a new licensing agreement with a major online gaming company called Gamesys. Under the terms of this new partnership, NetEnt will supply numerous online slot machines to Gamesys and its growing list of fully licensed gambling portals. Two of their flagship brands include Virgin Games & JackpotJoy.
“Gamesys and NetEnt share a commitment to delivering the ultimate player experience and I am confident that NetEnt’s world-class slots and casino games will contribute to their continued success as one of the world’s leading online gaming businesses,” said Enrico Bradamante, MD of NetEnt Malta Ltd and Chief of European Market Operations. He continued, “Further, Gamesys has a large presence in regulated markets, which is well aligned with our growth strategy”.
On March 23rd, NetEnt launched a brand new online slot machine called Spiñata Grande and this awesome new Mexican themed slot machine can now be found in several top NetEnt powered casinos such as Mr Green Casino and Casino Euro. Other top NetEnt casinos include Ladbrokes Games, Betfair Arcade, Casumo Casino and bgo Vegas. This new 3D style slot has regular symbols AND Colossal Symbols, the latter of which can cover up to 9 symbol positions on the reels. Also keep an eye out for Colossal Wild Symbols which can show up during the Free Spins Bonus.
“Spiñata Grande is a real treat that blends fun and unique graphics, excitement and win anticipation against the backdrop of a fiesta. This release is much anticipated as the feedback we’ve received is overwhelmingly positive and we’re confident its fun and happy artwork will offer a great entertainment experience,” said NetEnt’s Chief Product Officer, Simon Hammon.
Just two days later, on March 25th, it was announced that one lucky player from Norway had won the Mega Jackpot on a progressive jackpot slot machine from NetEnt called Mega Fortune. “We’re only three months into the year and there have been two significant pooled jackpots drop. The life-changing sums on offer act as a perfect way to boost acquisition rates and retention levels for operators,” said Hammon.
The lucky winner said, “I'm not superstitious, but Friday 13th was a strange day. I accidently deposited 1000 EUR instead of 1000 Norwegian kroner. I tried to stop the transaction, but it was too late, so perhaps it was destiny!”
Then on March 27th, NetEnt announced that it had signed another new licensing agreement, this time with the Danish Lottery provider, Danske Spil, which is owned by the Danish government and is part of the World Lottery Association (WLA). NetEnt also then made one final announcement in March - that it has signed a similar licensing agreement with one of the largest gaming operators in Spain, CODERE. These are just a few of the major talking points from March and we have a feeling that April will be just as busy for this impressive online casino software provider.
